一个总部在意大利的英国上市公司欲招聘一Site Operations Manager，负责在中国的生产、运营、供应商管理。该职位在东莞一带，向总部汇报。要求有技术或经济管理背景，英文流利。年薪在30到50万人民币左右，可协商。感兴趣者请发简历和期望薪酬到[email protected]。

The Company
This is a leading equipment provider in Imaging & Staging industry with annual sales of ~US$300 million. The company is listed in UK and the headquarters are based in Italy.
The Position
Site Operations Manager, China. The position will be based in Dongguan, Guangdong.
Background Requiremets: Technical or economics degree, Bachelor or Graduate level
Language Requirements: Fluent in both English and Mandarin, writing and spoken
Overall Mission
Support the operations activities and projects of Imaging & Staging Division in China in 4 main areas:
1. Develop the supplier base for components sourcing;
2. Manage relationships with the local contract manufacturers;
3. Manage local operations team in accordance to headquarters’ directions;
4. Support China Sales organization start up by May 2010.
Main Responsibilities
• Manage relationships with the contract manufacturers in China.
• Drive, support and coordinate activities between Italian headquarters and local contract manufacturers/suppliers in China. Meet schedules on launching products per plan.
• Control and drive the local contract manufacturers’ production schedule according to headquarters’ plans.
• Implement the company’s sourcing strategy in Asia/China following the directions of Supply Chain Manager in Italy and his team.
• Support the Italian headquarters on contract negotiations with local suppliers in China. Contribute to the contract review process and help establish the supplier partnerships/alliances.
• Develop regular or irregular reports in production, purchasing, and related activities.
• Assume the leadership role in developing the direct reports to stabilize the team and improve efficiency.
• Support the company’s projects in China.
Position in the Organization
• This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager in Italy, who reports to Operation Director, who reports to Divisional CEO.
• This position has 4 direct reports (3 Chinese and 1 Canadian) covering Quality Control, Process Engineering, Purchasing and accounting.
• This position is located in Dongguan, Guangdong.
Compensation: RMB300K to 500K/year based on qualifications. Negotiable.

Based on my current experiences and qualifications,I think I'm not qualified it,but still thanks for ur info.
BTW,anybody has other a bit lower position related to SCM recommended?I'm familiar with inventory control,shedule,material planning and sourcing.Tks!

在广东的意大利公司不多，意大利贸易协会列出的全部公司不到120个。深圳的赛意法算是个大项目，东莞没几个，Somacis倒是投了几个亿 。大部分都是小公司或者代表处。
意大利的工程师还不错，很多产品就技术层面来说也有竞争力，但管理来说实在不怎么样。而且意大利人小心翼翼，不敢突破，再加上意大利标准和规格少见多怪。所以意大利人在中国不仅汽车做不好，我估计sourcing也不大做得好。

Thanks for your blog.It really widens my horizon.
I am interested if i can be an assistant to such a manager,given my qualifications is not so persuasive so far.However,I can speak fluent English,and I am in Dongguan right now.I have also been a sourcing assistant for 1.5 years.And my major is International Economics and Trade.

it seems that the cartoon flash of "ugly Italian" is similar to Chinese to some extent. refering to the position, Can I say it's a little difficult for a sourcing manager who has not knowledges and experiences with regard to product quality control and engineering within the industry.Moreover, accounting is another mountain for you to climb.Sigh,money is not easy to pocket.

刘老师，
这个机会挺好，但可能符合这个条件的CANDIDATE会考虑企业文化的问题，俺认识的有位高人德国和意大利企业都做过，对后者的评价不太好。
采购沙龙上好像有的朋友本身就在东莞的企业工作，说不定可能性大一些。

It's a pity that I only noticed your blog and this position the day before. I've been taken similar position in a famous Italy company for three years, co-work with the largest EMS partner in Guangdong area.
