Headquartered in Silicon Valley, CA, ICR Group is a premiere consulting firm in supply chain transformation, outsourcing and integrated cost reduction. The company has been primarily serving Global 1000 companies in NA, EU and China. With the significant business growth in China, ICR Group established a subsidiary ICRChina in Beijing, and is looking for a Project Director to manage projects at major China based clients. If successful, this Director role will become the General Manager for ICRChina.
This Director position will spend most of time at clients' site or ICRChina office in Beijing. Applicants from China and overseas are welcomed. ICR Group offers competitive compensation package, ranging from US$150K to US$250K or more depending on qualification.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Principal duties for the Director position will be to lead the ICRChina Teams, but will also include:
· Execute projects which are strategic in nature and that will provide best-value to ICR China's clients, focusing initially on the largest White-Goods manufacturer in the world, headquartered in China.
· Lead a bi-lingual (Mandarin/English) team of resources from both the client and ICR.
· Secure internal buy-in from clients on deliverables and project progress.
· Lead the ICRChina team and client to identify higher-level / module suppliers.
· Drive commonality in the processes used by the ICR teams to capture and retain ICR's IP for current and future clients.
· Share best practices within the ICRChina Teams associated with the development and maintenance of successful business relationships with Chinese companies and executives.
· Lead the implementation of various ICR initiatives (Supply-Chain Transformation, Cost Reduction projects, value-analysis-value-engineering, Outsourcing, Lean-Sigma).
· Serve as focal point of communication and coordination to client's Sr. Executives and ICR's US-based leadership.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience/Education:
· Bachelor's in Business or Engineering and 20 or more years relevant experience.
· Fluent bilingual in Mandarin and English.
· Should have spent at least 10 years working in China.
· 10+ years working with or for Western companies (IBM, Honeywell, Cisco, Boeing, etc...).
· At least 5 years as a director or above management level.
· At least 5 years in operations, manufacturing or supply-chain roles.
Special Requirements: Ability to lead a cross-functional team environment with design, quality or manufacturing engineers as well as procurement and finance. Must have experience creating, negotiating and/or administrating major contracts with international suppliers. Must possess excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills. Must possess strong negotiation skills, knowledge of international business and customs. Entrepreneurial mind-set, willing to take risks for rewards, very strong project management skills, comfortable meeting with C-level executives. Willing to start work immediately. Must be able to interface tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels. Must demonstrate good problem solving, team building and coaching skills. Applicant must be willing to comply with a 90-120 day trial employment period as is customary in US-based companies. At the end of this trial, candidate will be evaluated to be promoted to the role of GM, ICR-China.
